RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

At REWORKED, all our products are designed and handmade in Lyon, France. We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. This policy outlines your rights and the procedures for returns, exchanges, and refunds.


1. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL (14-DAY COOLING-OFF PERIOD)

In accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Articles L221-18 to L221-28 of the French French Consumer Code, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 14 calendar days from the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you, acquires physical possession of the goods. If your order contains multiple items delivered separately, the withdrawal period expires 14 calendar days from the day on which you acquire physical possession of the last item.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by means of a clear statement. You may :

• Use the standard withdrawal form provided below (Section 2)

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.


2. STANDARD WITHDRAWAL FORM

You are not obliged to use this form. You may use any clear statement to communicate your withdrawal.

3. EFFECTS OF WITHDRAWAL

If you withdraw from your contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including the original delivery costs (except for any supplementary costs if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us).

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay and no later than :
• 14 days after the day on which we receive the returned goods, or
• 14 days after the day on which you supply evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

We will use the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. In any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.


4. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS FOR RETURNS

To be eligible for a return under the right of withdrawal, items must be :
• Returned within 14 calendar days of notifying us of your withdrawal
• In their original condition : unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and free from odours (perfume, smoke, etc.)
• With all original tags and labels still attached
• In their original packaging (if applicable)

Items that are returned worn, washed, damaged, stained, altered, or without their original tags may be refused or subject to a deduction reflecting the diminished value of the goods, in accordance with Article L221-23 of the French Consumer Code.


5. EXCEPTIONS TO THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to :
• Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised (custom orders, made-to-measure items)
• Goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly
• Sealed goods which were unsealed after delivery and which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons

If a product falls under one of these exceptions, this will be clearly indicated on the product page before purchase.


6. RETURN PROCESS : STEP BY STEP

Step 1: Notify us
Contact us at contact@rework-ed.com with :
• Your order number
• The item(s) you wish to return
• The reason for your return (optional but helpful)

Step 2: Receive return instructions
We will confirm your return request and provide you with the return address and any specific instructions within 2 business days.

Step 3: Pack and ship your return
• Pack the item(s) securely in appropriate packaging to prevent damage during transit
• Include a note with your order number and name inside the package
• Ship the package to the return address provided

Step 4: Confirmation and refund
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you by email. If approved, we will process your refund within the timeline specified in Section 3.

Do not ship returns to this address without first contacting us for authorisation.


8. RETURN SHIPPING COSTS

In accordance with Article L221-23 of the French Consumer Code, the direct costs of returning the goods are borne by you (the consumer), unless we have agreed to bear those costs or have failed to inform you that you must bear them.

We recommend using a tracked shipping service and keeping proof of postage. REWORKED is not responsible for returned items that are lost or damaged in transit. Items returned without tracking may not be processed.


9. REFUND TIMELINE AND METHOD

• Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods (or evidence of shipment, whichever is earlier)
• Refunds are issued using the same payment method as the original purchase
• Please allow 5-10 additional business days for the refund to appear on your bank or card statement, depending on your financial institution
• Gift cards : If the original purchase was made with a gift card, the refund will be issued as a store credit


10. EXCHANGES

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange a product for a different size, colour, or model :
1. Request a return following the process described above
2. Place a new order on our website for the desired item

This ensures the fastest processing and guarantees availability of the item you want.


11. DEFECTIVE OR INCORRECT ITEMS

If you receive an item that is defective, damaged during shipping, or different from what you ordered, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order at contact@rework-ed.com with :
• Your order number
• A description of the issue
• Photographs clearly showing the defect or error

In such cases :
• Return shipping costs will be covered by REWORKED
• We will offer you a replacement, exchange, or full refund (including return shipping costs), at your choice
• You are not required to use the standard withdrawal procedure for defective or incorrect items


12. LEGAL WARRANTY OF CONFORMITY

In accordance with Articles L217-3 to L217-20 of the French French Consumer Code, all products sold by REWORKED are covered by the legal warranty of conformity.

You may invoke this warranty within 2 years from the date of delivery of the product. During this period, you only need to establish the existence of a lack of conformity; you do not need to prove that it existed at the time of delivery.

A product is considered non-conforming if it :
• Does not correspond to the description, type, quantity, or quality specified in the contract
• Is not fit for the purposes for which goods of that type would normally be used
• Does not possess the qualities that the seller presented (including by sample or model)
• Does not possess the qualities that a buyer may legitimately expect given the nature of the goods and public statements made by or on behalf of the seller

In the event of a lack of conformity, you may choose between :
• Repair of the product
• Replacement of the product

If repair or replacement is impossible, disproportionate, or cannot be carried out within a reasonable time or without major inconvenience to you, you may :
• Obtain a price reduction
• Terminate the contract and obtain a full refund

The warranty of conformity applies independently of any commercial warranty that may be offered.

Key legal references :
Article L217-3: The seller delivers goods that conform to the contract and responds for any lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery.
Article L217-4: The goods conform to the contract if they notably meet the criteria set out in this article (description, fitness for purpose, qualities).
Article L217-7: Defects of conformity which become apparent within 24 months of delivery are presumed to have existed at the time of delivery unless proved otherwise.
Article L217-12: Action resulting from the lack of conformity lapses two years from the date the consumer became aware of the lack of conformity.


13. WARRANTY AGAINST HIDDEN DEFECTS

In accordance with Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French French Civil Code, REWORKED is also bound by the warranty against hidden defects (warranty against hidden defects).

A hidden defect is a defect that :
• Was not apparent at the time of purchase
• Makes the product unfit for its intended use, or reduces its usefulness to such an extent that the buyer would not have purchased it, or would have paid a lower price, had they known about it

If a hidden defect is established, you may choose to :
• Return the product and obtain a full refund
• Keep the product and obtain a partial refund

Action based on hidden defects must be brought within 2 years from the discovery of the defect (Article 1648 of the French Civil Code).

14. LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS

If you have not received your refund within the expected timeline :
1. Check your bank or card statement again (refunds may take several days to appear)
2. Contact your bank or credit card company, as processing times vary
3. If you have done both of the above and still have not received your refund, please contact us at contact@rework-ed.com

If we have exceeded the 14-day legal deadline for issuing a refund after receiving your returned goods, the amount due may be increased in accordance with Article L221-24 of the French Consumer Code.
